BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. A meeting was held at Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development via the Open Dialogue Platform, chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Development Turar Zholmagambetov, with representatives of the National “Atameken” Chamber of Entrepreneurs and industrial enterprises, Trend reports via the ministry.
“Today we’ll discuss the issue of processing customer-supplied raw materials and the output of finished products for the light industry. The trend of processing customer-supplied raw materials has been observed not only in the heavy and metallurgical industries, but now also in the light industry,” Zholmagambetov said.
“There is an increase in demand from Russia, where we’re offered raw materials, make and forward finished products. Here we have questions regarding the payment of taxes on the processing of customer-supplied raw materials, and we have a procedure for exemption from value added tax,” he noted.
According to him, within the established procedure, the committee issues an opinion, including on the light industry. At the same time, the committee needs information about the classification number of the goods according to the commodity nomenclature, the date and number of the contract for the processing of raw materials from the supplier, the yield rate of the processed product, and a number of others, in accordance with the relevant norms of the Tax Code of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, representatives of a number of domestic light industry enterprises spoke about the problems that arise when introducing adjustments to permits for the processing of raw materials, related to the shortcomings in the relevant programs. In such cases, enterprises had to re-take opinions from the ministry.
Representatives of Russian companies noted some difficulties in processing documents at the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.
At the end of the meeting, the deputy chairman of the committee suggested contacting him personally in case of difficulties in obtaining the permits.
