BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 23. A multi-brand full-cycle plant for the production of Chery, Changan, and Haval cars is planned to be built in the Industrial Zone of Almaty in Kazakhstan, Trend reports via the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
To date, three memorandums have been signed between Kazakh Astana Motors and Chinese companies.
A joint project with the Korean Yongsan company for the production of car seats for Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Tucson models is also under development.
Besides, work is underway with the Korean MOTREX company for the production of multimedia systems for models manufactured at the Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan LLP plant: Hyundai Accent, Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai Santa Fe, Hyundai Elantra. These projects will increase the share of local content and the number of jobs.
