BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. The Kazakh delegation has held talks with the aviation authorities of the Republic of Seychelles as part of the 41st session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which is being held in Montreal from September 27 to October 7, 2022, Trend reports via the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
During the meeting of the committee’s Chairman Talgat Lastayev with the Minister of Transport of the Seychelles Antony Derjacques, issues of direct air communication between Kazakhstan and the Seychelles and the prospects for its further development were discussed.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties signed a memorandum for the first time in history, according to which the designated carriers of both countries received the right to operate seven regular flights per week between countries on any type of aircraft from each side.
According to Derjacques, the Air Seychelles national carrier on the basis of the signed document plans to open a direct flight between the two countries on Victoria-Almaty route in January next year.
The parties noted the importance of direct flights for the further development of tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
