BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 7. KazMunayGas (KMG), the state oil and gas company of Kazakhstan, commenced the repair of the catalytic cracking unit at the Atyrau Oil Refinery, Trend reports, citing the press service of the company.

KMG expects that the repairs will last until 18 February. The launch operations are expected to commence from 18 February to 22 February.

The complete launch of the catalytic cracking unit is scheduled for February 23.

Technical personnel of Axens, the licensor of the catalytic cracking process, are also involved in the repair work.

Earlier, due to an increase in the temperature profile in the regenerators, an unscheduled shutdown of the catalytic cracking unit was carried out at Atyrau refinery on February 1.
