BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. Tax revenues to Kazakhstan's consolidated budget amounted to 5.6 trillion Kazakh tenge ($12.5 billion) from January through March 2023, which is 21.4 percent or 998 billion tenge ($2.2 billion) more than the same period last year, Trend reports via State Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan.

The source says that the consolidated budget of Kazakhstan consists of the state budget and National Fund, while the State budget is divided into republican and local budgets.

During the reporting period, the republican budget received 3.1 trillion tenge ($7.02 billion), which is an increase of 23.2 percent or 599.1 billion tenge ($1.3 billion), compared to the same period in 2022.

The local budget, during the first three months of 2023, received 1.2 trillion tenge ($2.8 billion), increasing by 24.2 percent or 252 billion tenge ($557.3 million) year-on-year.

At the same time, from January through March, the National Fund received 1.1 trillion tenge ($2.6 billion) - an increase of 14 percent or 146.9 billion tenge ($324.9 million), compared to the same period last year.

“To revenue growth affected the factors such as an increase of 0.8 percent in gold prices during the first quarter of 2023, compared to the same period last year. At the same time, trade turnover with partnering countries increased by 13.9 percent (exports decreased by 6.7 percent, while imports increased by 1.8 times). There is also an increase in sales turnover for electronic invoices - 8.8 trillion tenge ($19.4 billion) or by 27.7 percent," the committee said.
