BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 3. Kazakhstan is keen to continue the supply of sodium cyanide to Tajikistan, Dinara Shcheglova Vice-Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan said, Trend reports via the Kazakh media.
According to her, the supply of sodium cyanide (Talas Investment Company JSC) for Tajikistan's enterprises with an annual tendency to increase, has already been established.
Furthermore, Shcheglova also added that Aluminium of Kazakhstan JSC is stably delivering alumina to Tajikistan. According to her, in the first quarter of 2023, a total of 23,070 tons were delivered, which is 27 percent more than the same period in 2022.
Moreover, as Shcheglova noted, ArcelorMittal Temirtau, a Kazakh mining company, is carrying out coal pitch supplies to Tajikistan.
"In addition, we offer to expand cooperation in the supply of medical equipment," Shcheglova added.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are working to strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Trade between the two countries grew by 18.5 percent last year and amounted to $1.4 billion.
