BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. The prices across all segments of the housing market decreased in Kazakhstan in April, Trend reports via the Kazakh Bureau of National Statistics.
According to the information, prices for new apartments decreased by 0.6 percent in April 2023 compared to the previous month. However, this figure showed an increase of 7.8 percent when compared to April 2022.
The average price for one square meter of a new house in Kazakhstan totaled 486,150 Kazakh tenge ($1,095) in April.
Furthermore, prices in the secondary housing market decreased by 1.5 percent compared to the previous month and increased by 3.8 percent on an annual basis. The cost per square meter in the secondary housing market during the reporting period was 505,783 Kazakh tenge ($1,140).
Meanwhile, rental house prices saw a decrease of 0.5 percent, while increasing by 27.6 percent over the year. The average price for renting a square meter amounted to 4,654 Kazakh tenge ($10.4).
