BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Kazakhstan's business conditions experienced a significant boost in April, with the composite output Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) reaching 53.3, surpassing the average levels observed in the past two years, Trend reports.
This positive indicator can be attributed to notable improvements in both the manufacturing and services sectors, which have consistently outperformed their long-term averages. The growing confidence among businesses has played a crucial role in driving this upward trend, aided by easing inflationary pressures.
In March the PMI soared to 51.7, surpassing the previous month's figure of 48.0 and breaching the crucial threshold of 50.0.
The PMI is a key economic indicator that reflects the overall state of the manufacturing industry and services sector. A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below 50 suggests contraction. The PMI for Kazakhstan remains comfortably above the growth threshold, signaling continued economic stability.
