BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas national energy company intends to establish cooperation with Air Liquide, French provider of gases, technologies and services for industrial and health care sector, on a project that will enable the production of up to 160,000 tons of winter diesel fuel at the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, Trend reports.
As CEO of KazMunayGas, Magzum Mirzagaliyev, reported to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the company is also working on the construction of a polyethylene plant with a capacity of 1,250 thousand tons per year in the Atyrau region and a hybrid power station using renewable energy sources in the city of Zhanaozen, Mangistau region.
Mirzagaliyev also noted that KazMunayGas was able to achieve sufficient progress in regard with its operational and financial performance during the first half of 2023.
In conclusion, Tokayev gave a number of instructions regarding the development of geological exploration activities and attracting major investors to explore prospective exploration sites.
Meanwhile, oil and gas condensate production volume of KazMunayGas in the first quarter of 2023 totaled 5.9 million tons (499 kbopd), which is an increase of 8.7 percent year-on-year.
