ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 6. The Lasselsberger group plans to implement a project to build a plant for production of ceramic tiles with an investment of 99.7 billion tenge (about $216 million) in the Kostanay region of Kazakhstan, the Akimat (Administration) of the region told Trend.
A key component for the implementation of the project is the provision of raw materials for future production, in particular refractory clays.
As noted at the meeting between Head of executive power of the Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov and the representatives of the company, the implementation of this project in Kostanay is the right decision both from a strategic and economic point of view, given the favorable geographical location and the fact that the main raw materials needed for production are concentrated in the region.
Aksakalov noted the openness of the region for comprehensive cooperation with potential partners, in particular, he is ready to support new initiatives in the field of launching new industries.
The Lasselsberger group is a European producer of raw materials, building materials and ceramic tiles. Clearly structured into the three divisions Ceramics, Minerals and Building Materials, not only the local domestic markets but also many international markets – mainly in Western Europe – are supplied by the production sites in Central and Eastern Europe.
