Kazakhstan Railways reveals volume of grain planned for transportation in October

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 4. The main plan for the transportation of grain in Kazakhstan via the railway network for October of this year has been agreed upon in the amount of 1.3 million tons, Trend reports.

As was noted by Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ, national company), this figure is 490,000 tons more than the volume of grain transported in September.

Within the country, transportation in the amount of 158,000 tons has been agreed upon, and over 1.2 million tons for export. The main transportation plan for grinding products (flour) for October has been agreed upon in the amount of 393,000 tons, across the republic - more than 55,000 tons, for export - over 337,000 tons.

The lion's share of grain and grinding products will be sent for export. Thus, through the railway crossing point of the Saryagash station it is planned to export 663,000 tons of grain and 245,000 tons of grinding products.

Kazakh railways agreed with the Uzbek railway to increase the reception of trains during a period of increased demand for transportation.

In September, grain transportation increased by 8 percent compared to the same level last year and amounted to 806,000 tons. Exports increased by 21 percent. Loading of grinding products increased by 2 percent and amounted to 264,000 tons. Throughout the republic, loading increased by 15 percent.
