ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 13. Housing prices on the primary market in Kazakhstan increased by 5.1 percent in October 2023 compared to October 2022, Trend reports.

Data of the country's Bureau of National Statistics shows that over the same period, prices for secondary market apartments decreased by 5.3 percent.

In addition, rent for comfortable housing in October 2023 compared to the same month last year decreased by 3.4 percent.

Regionally, prices on the primary housing market in annual terms increased significantly in the cities of Pavlodar by 14.8 percent, Semey - by 12.1 percent.

In the secondary housing market, the leaders in price growth are the cities of Semey (14 percent), Kyzylorda (11.7 percent), in the rental housing market - Zhezkazgan (26.3 percent), Kokshetau (20.6 percent) and Kyzylorda (20.2 percent).

On the housing purchase and sale market in October 2023 the number of registered transactions amounted to 32,975, of which 8,023 were for individual houses and 24,952 for apartments in multi-apartment buildings.

The cities of Almaty (5,854 - 17.8 percent) and Astana (5,438 - 16.5 percent), as well as the Karaganda region (3,075 - 9.3 percent) remain the leaders in the number of transactions. The fewest transactions were carried out in the Ulytau region - 298 units (0.9 percent).

Compared to September 2023 (35,398) the number of housing purchase and sale transactions decreased by 6.8 percent.

The number of housing purchase and sale transactions in October 2023 compared to the corresponding month of last year decreased by 4 percent, then 34,336 transactions were registered.
