ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 16. Svevind Energy Group has supported the localization of wind turbine production in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
This was stated during a meeting between the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kanat Sharlapayev, and the General Director of Svevind Energy Group Wolfgang Kropp.
During the meeting, issues of implementing the project for the production of green hydrogen in the Mangystau region, as well as the possibility of increasing the share of localization in the construction of industrial facilities, were discussed.
"Given the scope of the project, we strongly support the notion of producing wind turbines in Kazakhstan. This can help the country's economy by creating new jobs, improving the abilities of local individuals in the field of renewable energy sources, and influencing the project's cost and timeline. We are now in the preliminary evaluation stage of several manufacturing businesses, technological solutions, and conditions. Based on the findings of these research, a preliminary selection of equipment providers will be made," Wolfgang Kropp said.
Svevind Energy Group will implement a project to produce green hydrogen in the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan.
The project involves the construction and operation of a desalination plant, a 40GW renewable energy stations (wind, solar), as well as a 20GW water electrolysis plant with an annual production capacity of 2 million tons of green hydrogen or 11 million tons of green ammonia.
The preliminary investment amount is more than 50 billion euros.
Design documentation will be completed by 2026. The start of infrastructure construction is planned for 2027, and commissioning in 2032.
