Kazakhstan's Rozhkovskoye field set to produce significant gas volumes

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 26. The production volume at the Kazakhstan's Rozhkovskoye field will be about 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year after full-scale development of the field, Trend reports.

According to the KazMunayGas JSC (Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company), the volume of gas condensate production will be more than 500,000 tons per year, the production of liquefied petroleum gas will be more than 150,000 tons per year, marketable products will exceed 700 million cubic meters of commercial gas.

In addition to this, since the beginning of the commissioning of the Rozhkovskoye field (December 21, 2023), the first shipment of gas condensate for export in the amount of 4,200 tons was carried out in January 2024.

By the end of February 2024, it is expected that 1,100 tons of liquefied petroleum gas will be produced from the Rozhkovskoye field, which will be used to meet the demand of the West Kazakhstan region (covering a 25 percent share of the total demand).

To note, the Rozhkovskoye gas and condensate field (West Kazakhstan region) was put into commercial operation on December 21, 2023. The operator of the field is Ural Oil and Gas LLP (a subsidiary of KazMunayGas).

The participants of Ural Oil and Gas LLP are KazMunayGas (50 percent), the Hungarian MOL Caspian Oil and Gas Plc. (27.5 percent) and Chinese First International Oil Corporation (22.5 percent).
