BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 12. The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR, or Middle Corridor) will make Austrian goods more competitive in Asian markets, a source at the Advantage Austria, the trade promotion organization of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, told Trend.

"We view the implementation of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route as very positive and are optimistic about its future. The route promises to significantly reduce transit times and costs, making Austrian goods more competitive in Asian markets," he said.

In addition to this, Pölzleitner noted that the Middle Corridor also offers a sustainable solution against geopolitical and logistical uncertainties.

The Middle Corridor is a transportation and trade route that connects Asia and Europe, passing through several countries in the region. It is an alternative route to the traditional Northern Corridor and Southern Corridor.

The route starts in China and crosses Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. It then passes through the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye before reaching Europe.

The Middle Corridor offers a land route that connects the eastern parts of Asia, including China, with Europe, bypassing the longer maritime routes.
