ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 27. The Shouguang Agricultural Development Group Limited company plans to establish a 100-hectare greenhouse complex in Kazakhstan's Zhambyl region, Trend reports.
This was agreed upon during a meeting between the head of the regional executive power, Yerbol Karashukeyev, and representatives of business circles from a number of countries at the international agricultural forum-exhibition “KazАgroZhambyl-2024” in Taraz.
Thus, the volume of investment in the new project, based on the launch of all stages, is up to $70 million.
At the same time, Shandong Shouguang Vegetable Industry Group Co. was drawn to the region's potential for fruit and vegetable development, and the company plans to build a greenhouse complex there.
As a result, the activation of two enormous greenhouse complexes
will enable the region to become one of the country's leading
producers of fruits and vegetables.
Along with this, another investor, Kazakh Industrial Stroi LLP, has
already began work to establish a cement sheet manufacturing plant
with a $7 million investment. The items are currently being used
successfully to build and rebuild irrigation canals. This allows
you to extend the service life of canals while decreasing water
losses.
In addition, major projects include the development of a facility to manufacture drip irrigation systems. A business from the Zhambyl region, "KAZ Caspiy HYDRO auyl sharuashylygy tekhnologiyasy," plans to invest $6 million in the project. This will allow for more active use of intense irrigation in the region.
