ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 16. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, the statement of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said, Trend reports.
According to the information, the foreign ministry chiefs discussed the current status of bilateral cooperation and looked forward to its potential for future growth.
Furthermore, special attention was paid to the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level following the state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Astana this month, aimed at all-round deepening of strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The sides also concurred on pressing issues on the regional and international agenda and discussed the schedule of international events for the upcoming period.
