ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 7. About 26,390 remittances through international money transfer systems (IMTS) were made from Russia to Kazakhstan in July 2024, Trend reports.
According to the data from the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the volume of transfers amounted to 5.8 billion tenge (about $12.1 million).
At the same time, 19.8 billion tenge, or approximately $41.1 million, were transferred from Kazakhstan to Russia through 92,780 transactions via IMTS.
As a result, Russia leads in terms of the volume of remittances to Kazakhstan and ranks second in terms of the volume of remittances from Kazakhstan in July 2024.
Meanwhile, the total number of money transfers through international money transfer systems (IMTS) in Kazakhstan amounted to 207,500 transactions worth 84.3 billion tenge (about $174 million) in July 2024. Compared to June 2024, there is an increase in the number of transfers by 0.5 percent and in the volume of transactions by 12 percent.
