Situation at Kyrgyz borders after the elections remains stable

The situation at Kyrgyzstan's borders after the elections remains stable, the Kyrgyz state national security service's public and mass media relations department informs, news agency "24.kg" reported.

According to them, the post-election situation as of October 14, 2010 in Kyrgyzstan remains stable. The law enforcement bodies and force structures are continuing to draw duty in a strengthened regime.

People and vehicles are passing the republic's borders without restrictions. For the purpose of prevention of possible armed gang raids, the Kyrgyz SNSS frontier troops are controlling the hard-to-reach areas at the border.

The public and mass media relations department notes with reference to the SNSS management that expression of discontent by the election results under any state of affairs is a predictable process. These elections have not become an exception. The appearing disputes must be resolved only in courts and the CEC in accordance with the legislation.
