In January, the growth of industry in Kyrgyzstan was at 13.6 per cent, KirTAG reported on Monday citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

In January, the growth of industry in Kyrgyzstan was at 13.6 per cent, KirTAG reported on Monday citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

'The volume of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan in January amounted to 10.685 billion soum, or 13.6 per cent more than in 2012', a statement said.

The volume of the mining industry in January amounted to 253.7 million soum, or one per cent more than the same period last year.

The volume of manufacturing in January amounted to 7.469 billion soum, which is 20.6 per cent more than the same period of 2012.

In January this year there has been an increase in industrial production due to the increased production of other non-metallic mineral products by five times and an increase of metallurgical and fabricated metal product production by 23.2 per cent.

There has been an increase in the production of flat glass and cement production increased by 4.4 times.
