Kyrgyzstan will host the 5th Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the 'Central Asia plus Japan Dialogue', Uzbek Foreign Ministry said on July 14.

The meeting will be held on July 16 in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek.

The meeting's agenda will include the further development of cooperation in various fields, and exchange of views on international and regional issues.

The meeting will be attended by the foreign ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Japan.

The 'Central Asia plus Japan Dialogue' was initiated by Japan in 2004 to enhance the cooperation with the Central Asian region.

The 4th Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the 'Central Asia plus Japan Dialogue' was held in September 2012 in Tokyo.

Following the meeting, the heads of delegations signed a joint statement on building a new partnership between Japan and the Central Asia. The statement defined the priority areas for further collaboration.

The Japanese side also stated the possibility of allocating $700 million to assist in implementation of regional cooperation projects.
