EEU leaders sign several documents in Sochi

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov took part in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in the city of Sochi of the Russian Federation, the President's press service reported.

During the visit to Sochi, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. During the meeting, the heads of the two states discussed the current issues of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in the trade-economic, investment and fuel-energy spheres.

In addition, Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, during the meeting with him the topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.

President Jeenbekov took participated in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in a narrow and enlarged formats, where the issues of trade and economic interaction within the Union, as well as issues of international cooperation and further integration in the Eurasian space were discussed.

The meeting was attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Republic of Moldova received the status of the observer country in the EEU.

Following the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, a number of documents were signed. At the end of the meeting, the participants took a short walk. The next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be held in November 2018 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
