BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 28. High coverage of external debt by international reserves for the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union is provided only in Russia - 134.3 percent, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is the executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Kyrgyzstan has the second indicator in the EAEU in terms of covering external debt with reserves - 28.3 percent. However, this figure is even lower in other EAEU member states, ranging from 18.7 percent in Belarus to 21.9 percent in Armenia.

International reserves as a percentage of external debt increased in all EAEU member states as of April 1, 2022, compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, except for Armenia (minus 1 percent).
