BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. The Government of Kyrgyzstan will increase state pensions, wrote Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov on his Facebook page.

"On my instructions, the Cabinet of Ministers of the country will increase pensions from October 1, 2022. On average, we will raise pensions by 1,700 soms ($20.7) to 3,400 soms ($41.4)," Japarov said.

He noted that today, there are about 735,000 pensioners throughout the country. Annually, 70 billion soms ($853.6 million) are provided for the payment of pensions.

Now, the Government of Kyrgyzstan will allocate 90 billion soms ($1 billion) from the republican budget annually.
