BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 24. Kyrgyzstan from January through July 2022 slightly increased imports of sunflower oil from Russia, Trend reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, Kyrgyz imports of sunflower oil from Russia in 7 months of this year increased by 2.2 percent over the same period in 2021 ($18.1 million) - up to $18.5 million.
As reported, Russia is the main supplier of sunflower oil to Kyrgyzstan. In 2021, a total of 28,000 tons of sunflower oil were supplied from Russia in the amount of 2.8 billion soms ($34.9 million).
The total Russian export of goods to Kyrgyzstan during this period increased by 30 percent compared to the same period of last year ($1 billion) - up to $1.3 billion.
Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan imported almost 39,400 tons of sunflower overall in 2021.
