Kyrgyzstan with UK's support develops action plan for development of creative economy

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and Association of Creative Industries jointly developed an action plan with the support of the UK funded Policy Innovation Facility, Trend reports via British Embassy in Bishkek.

On November 16, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan approved the action plan for the National Creative Economy Development Concept 2022-2026.

The main goal of this initiative is to develop Kyrgyzstan's creative economy and promote the creative Kyrgyzstan brand abroad.

"The action plan also envisages adaptation and introduction of international indicators to measure and account for the development of the creative economy, which will allow for a more accurate accounting of the creative industries' contribution to the Kyrgyz economy," the British Embassy in Bishkek said.

The action plan will be implemented jointly by public and private sectors, with a focus on supporting the development of creative skills, promoting creative exports, including through e-commerce, continuous dialogue and experience exchange.
