BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. Kyrgyzstan is going to start construction of a plant for gasoline production, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said, Trend reports via Kyrgyz Media.
During the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament of Kyrgyzstan) on November 24, Japarov informed that the plant for the production of high-quality Euro-5 gasoline will be built in 2023.
According to the latest data of National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the country in the first 9 months of this year imported from Russia gasoline in the amount of $266 million, from Uzbekistan for $2.2 million, Kazakhstan worth $2.2 million and Turkmenistan - $1.6 million.
Early in this month, chairman of the public fund "Green Energy", Anara Sultangazieva noted that Kyrgyzstan is the only country within the Eurasian economic union (EAEU) that still uses and produces low-quality gasoline K2, K3. In Europe, for instance, Euro-7 gasoline is already being used.
