BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 11. The car prices in Kyrgyzstan increased from January through November 2022 by 7.2 percent over the same period of 2021, the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan informs, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.
Notably, the steep increase in growth was registered from January to March 2022 – by 9.4 percent. The rise in prices was induced by the increasing demand.
At the same time, the demand on cars was high from January through November 2022. Imports of cars to Kyrgyzstan in 11 months of 2022 amounted to 33,893 cars. It is a record growth of three-times, compared to the same period in 2021.
In November 2022, some 4,783 cars were imported to the country. The cars were supplied mainly by the South Korea (7,342 cars), Georgia (6,560 cars), and Russia (6, 383 cars). During the period, Georgia increased exports of cars to Kyrgyzstan by 4 times, the South Korea – by 3.9 times, and Russia – by 1.3 times.
Additionally, from January through November 2022, Kyrgyzstan registered growth in cars import from China (by 18.5 times), from Japan (by 11.8 times), from the US (by 4.6 times).
