Kyrgyzstan increases honey exports to UAE

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 17. Kyrgyzstan exported 10 tons of honey to the UAE in January 2023, which is an increase of more than 3 times compared to 3 tons in January 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

The value of the honey exports amounted to $27,200, increasing by 2.2 times over $11,900 in January last year.

In total, Kyrgyzstan exported 12 tons of natural honey in January 2023, which is 1.7 times less than 21 tons in the corresponding period of 2022.

The value of the exports totaled $36,000, decreasing by 2.3 times over $85,800 in January 2022.

In the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan also exported honey to South Korea (800 kg), Malaysia (500 kg), Japan (300 kg), Kazakhstan (100 kg), and Bahrain (100 kg).

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan exported 257 tons of honey from January through December 2022, which is 35 percent less compared to 395 tons in 2021.

The value of honey exports from Kyrgyzstan amounted to $1.1 million last year, decreasing from $1.6 million in 2021.

Last year, Kyrgyzstan mostly exported honey to the UAE (38 tons for $160,400), Saudi Arabia (38 tons for $139,900), China (37 tons for $103,800), and South Korea (36 tons for $154,600).
