Lithuania tops list of truck importers to Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 5. Kyrgyzstan has experienced a substantial rise in truck imports, with a total of 3,387 trucks imported during the period from January through April 2023, Trend reports.

As the data provided by the State Statistical Committee demonstrated, the imports increased 95 percent compared to the 1,737 trucks imported during the same period in 2022.

The value of the imported trucks during this period amounted to $34.172 million, more than doubling the figure of $15.565 million recorded in the first quarter of 2022.

Among the countries from which Kyrgyzstan predominantly imported trucks, Lithuania took the lead with 1,352 trucks imported, valued at $3.833 million. South Korea followed closely with 1,026 trucks imported, totaling $3.167 million.

China accounted for 410 trucks imported, amounting to $13.814 million, while Germany contributed 150 trucks worth $571,800.

Additionally, Uzbekistan and the US supplied 99 trucks ($543,600) and 84 trucks ($2.505 million), respectively.

At the same time, Kyrgyzstan imported 41,027 passenger cars during the specified period, which is 4.3times higher than 9,499 passenger cars imported from January through April 2023.
