BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 1. Kyrgyzstan has been ranked 91st in the National Cyber Security Index (NCSI), Trend reports.
The rating has improved as at the end of 2022 - the beginning of 2023, Kyrgyzstan was 112th.
The NCSI assessment indicates that Kyrgyzstan achieved a score of 37.66 points, with a population's digital development level reaching 42.96 percent.
Among the CIS countries, Russia took the lead in the NCSI ranking, securing the 30th position with an index score of 71.43 and a digital development level of 65.12 percent.
Following Russia are Azerbaijan at the 50th position (with an index of 63.64 and a digital development level of 54.78 percent), Moldova at the 62-nd position (with an index of 57.14 and a digital development level of 56.79 percent), and Belarus at the 70-th position (with an index of 53.25 and a digital development level of 62.33 percent).
Ranked below Kyrgyzstan in the NCSI ranking are Uzbekistan at the 94-th position, Armenia at the 96th position, and Tajikistan at the 153-rd position and Turkmenistan at the 164-th position.
The National Cyber Security Index, developed by the Foundation of the Estonian e-Governance Academy, is a global index that continuously assesses countries' preparedness for cybersecurity and their ability to manage cyber incidents. The NCSI evaluates 46 indicators of the digital environment in 176 countries.
