BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 5. An asphalt, concrete, and stone-crushing plant has been officially launched in the Kara-Suu district of Kyrgyzstan's Osh region, Trend reports.

During the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, mentioned that the new facility is already proving beneficial, as it has provided for the pavement of 5 kilometers of local roads with asphalt.

He emphasized that asphalt roads are not only a sign of a country's development but also ensure the safety of people's vehicles, providing significant economic assistance.

"We are very interested in opening at least one asphalt concrete plant in each district of the country, even if it is privately owned. We fully support such initiatives," he said.

A total of 100 individuals were provided with employment following the plant launch. The plant was built by Kyrgyzstan’s Salih Stroy construction company. It is expected to produce up to 150 tons of asphalt per hour.

In Kyrgyzstan, 1.286 million tons of commercial concrete were produced from January through July 2023, which is a 2.7-times increase compared to the same period in 2022 (465,300 tons).
