Kyrgyzstan's ranking for fuel prices among EAEU revealed

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 25. The average price of a liter of RON-92 gasoline in Kyrgyzstan was 64.1 soms ($0.72) as of October 24, Trend reports.

Data from the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan shows that the country ranked fourth in terms of RON-92 gasoline prices among the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) countries, trailing behind Belarus ($0.69), Russia ($0.54) and Kazakhstan ($0.43).

The service also noted that the price of a liter of RON-95 gasoline in Kyrgyzstan was 71.2 soms ($0.8). The price of a liter of diesel fuel was 68.1 soms ($0.76), and the price of liquefied petroleum gas was 32 soms ($0.36).

Among EAEU countries, the cheapest gasoline was found in Kazakhstan, with RON-92 gasoline costing around 38 soms ($0.4) per liter. The price for RON-95 gasoline was less than 50 soms per liter ($0.5), while diesel fuel was priced at 55 soms ($0.62) per liter. Additionally, the price of liquefied petroleum gas was around 14 soms ($0.16) per liter.

The annual demand for petroleum products in Kyrgyzstan is approximately 1.4 million tons, with daily consumption of gasoline at 1,781 tons and diesel fuel at 1,507 tons. The majority of petroleum products are imported from Russia.
