BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 6. Kyrgyzstan’s exports of oil products to the UAE reached 861.8 tons in January 2024, which is 86.7 percent higher than in the corresponding month of 2023 (461 tons), Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, exports’ value equaled $962,475, an increase of 52.6 percent over January 2024’s figures ($630,831).
In January of this year, most of Kyrgyzstan's petroleum products went to Türkiye, with exports totaling 10,058 tons valued at $6.148 million. Uzbekistan followed in second place, purchasing 1,204 tons for $376,200, while China ranked third, importing 968 tons valued at $979,100.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan exported 14,677 tons of oil products in January 2024, which is a 34.5-percent increase compared to the 10,914 tons exported in the corresponding month of 2023. The total value of exports amounted to $10.280 million, which is a 58.5 percent increase compared to January 2023 ($6.487 million).
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $1.168 billion in January 2024, a 36.8-percent increase compared to January 2023. Exports amounted to $181.3 million, increasing by 46.6 percent year-on-year. Imports increased by 35.1 percent compared to January 2023, reaching $987.5 million.
