BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 15. The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan from January to May this year hit the jackpot, reaching over $41.3 million, Trend reports.
Trade turnover between the two nations was $32.2 million over the stipulated time, up 28 percent from the same period last year, according to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan exported roughly $1.9 million to Turkmenistan in the first five months of this year, down 5 percent from 2023's $2 million.
Also, trade between the two nations was $30.2 million in January–May of this year, down 5 percent from the previous year's total of about $39.5 million in imports from Turkmenistan into Kyrgyzstan.
Meanwhile, the total trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan with foreign countries in the first 5 months of this year amounted to $6.48 billion, which is 18 percent more than in the same period last year, which amounted to almost $5.47 billion.
