BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 7. Kyrgyzstan has introduced a temporary ban on the export of oil and petroleum products beyond the Eurasian Economic Union's (EAEU) territory by road, Trend reports.

According to a government decree, the ban excludes fuel oil and petroleum products classified under code 2710 of the EAEU's harmonized system, produced by Kyrgyzstan’s state-owned enterprise, Kyrgyzneftegaz. It also excludes AI-80 gasoline and heating oil, produced by domestic refineries, which are classified under the same code.

The decree will take effect fifteen days after its official publication.

The authorities of Kyrgyzstan first imposed a ban on exporting oil and petroleum products beyond the EAEU customs zone in March 2021. This decision was made to stabilize oil and petroleum product prices on the domestic market.
