DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, July 25. Tajikistan witnessed a decline in food product prices in June 2023, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Agency of the country, prices for fruits decreased by 3.2 percent. Among them, apple prices declined by 12.6 percent and melon prices by 2.6 percent.
Vegetables also saw a drop of 4.8 percent, with tomato prices declining by 32.2 percent, onion prices by 17.1 percent, and cabbage prices by 2.3 percent. In addition, prices for eggs decreased by 13.4 percent, milk by 3.3 percent, and top-grade flour by 1.5 percent.
Furthermore, prices for vegetable oils and fats have decreased by 3 percent since the beginning of the year. Cottonseed oil prices dropped by 5 percent, and sunflower oil prices dropped by 2.4 percent.
In June 2023, prices for non-food goods and paid services in Tajikistan also experienced a decline. This included a decrease of 3.6 percent in diesel fuel prices and a decrease of 3.1 percent in liquefied gas prices.
