DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, July 25. The number of individual entrepreneurs in Tajikistan has increased by 29,700, or 4.6 percent, from January through June 2023, compared to the same period of 2022, Trend reports.
According to data from the Statistical Agency of Tajikistan, 15,689 new individual entrepreneurs were registered in Tajikistan from January through June 2023.
Among these, 2,118 entrepreneurs operated under a certificate, 4,953 under a patent, 5,152 under a certificate with special conditions, and 3,466 as agricultural households.
Meanwhile, a total of 670,400 individual entrepreneurs were registered across the country, as of July 1. There were 93,100 entrepreneurs operating under a certificate, 324,100 under a patent, 63,500 entrepreneurs under a certificate with special conditions, and 189,700 operating as agricultural households.
Over the course of 30 years of Tajikistan’s independence, 2,500 manufacturing enterprises have been established in the country. As of 2022, there were 2,800 active industrial enterprises providing employment to 85,000 workers.
