DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, October 7. "Innovative Road Solutions" (IRS) in Tajikistan intends to renovate 189,000 square meters of road, utilizing over 27,000 tons of asphalt in 2023, Trend reports.
As per the plan, repairs in the Varzob region involve 46,000 square meters of road with a consumption of 6,600 tons of asphalt. In the Zarafshan region, the target is 42,800 square meters with an asphalt consumption of 6,000 tons, and in the Sughd region, over 100,000 square meters will be repaired, requiring 14,500 tons of asphalt.
So far, the IRS in the Zarafshan region has exceeded its plan by 34 percent, renovating 57,300 square meters of road sections under its jurisdiction. Similarly, in the Varzob region, the plan has also been surpassed, with 50,300 square meters renovated using over 7,000 tons of asphalt produced by their own facilities.
In the Sughd region, over 103,000 square meters were renovated, consuming 12,000 tons of asphalt for these tasks.
IRS offers a comprehensive range of services for the maintenance, management, and repair of road infrastructure.
According to a statement by Minister of Transport of Kyrgyzstan Azim Ibrahim earlier this month, there are currently 12 investment projects totaling $1.052 million being carried out through the Ministry of Transport in accordance with grant agreements. Among these, 7 projects are in the process of implementation, while 5 projects have been completed and are in the warranty period.
