DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, October 25. Tajikistan ranked second for the highest prices of RON-92 gasoline among the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as of October 24, Trend reports.
The Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan has compiled a ranking of average comparative fuel prices among EAEU member states as of October 24, this year.
According to the ranking, the price of RON-92 gasoline in Tajikistan was $0.89, with the higher price found only in Armenia. RON-95 gasoline was priced at $1.03 per liter. Diesel fuel cost $1.02 per liter, and the price of liquefied petroleum gas was $0.6.
During the first half of 2023, over 174,000 tons of various gasoline brands, with an approximate total value of $100 million, were imported into Tajikistan by 30 suppliers. Of this volume, 59 percent is attributed to the company 'Gazpromneft-Tajikistan.'
Tajikistan primarily imports petroleum products from Russia (85.4 percent), as well as from Kazakhstan (5.1 percent), Turkmenistan (4.4 percent), Uzbekistan (2.6 percent), and other countries (2.5 percent).
Liquefied gas is imported from Kazakhstan (73.5 percent) and Russia (approximately 24.7 percent).
