LPG average price in Tajikistan slightly decreases - WFP

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, January 20. The average price for a liter of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Tajikistan was recorded at 7.1 somoni ($0.65) as of January 8, 2024, Trend reports.

According to the recent report from the World Food Programme (WFP), the price decreased by 1 percent in a week compared to January 2, 2024, when it was 7.2 somoni ($0.66).

In the capital city of Dushanbe, the price reached 6.7 somoni ($0.61), remaining unchanged compared to January 2, 2024. The highest prices for LPG were observed in the Ishkoshim district at 9.5 somoni ($0.87), also unchanged compared to January 2, 2024.

At the same time, the prices for a liter of LPG in Kushoniyon district and Kulob city were the lowest, standing at 6.6 somoni ($0.60). The also have not changed compared to January 2, 2024.

WFP Tajikistan, in partnership with the Neksigol Mushovir advisory organization, has been monitoring commodity prices in markets across the country. Price data is collected through a network of field enumerators, with multiple traders interviewed for each commodity, and average prices recorded.
