DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, July 6. Tajikistan is interested in expanding cooperation with China across various industrial sectors, President Emomali Rahmon stated during a press conference following his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tajikistan, Trend reports.
Rahmon conveyed Tajikistan's keen interest in drawing increased Chinese investments, specifically in the domains of light and food industries, energy, agriculture, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and various other sectors.
"We believe that increasing production capacity in real economic areas provides a solid foundation for Tajikistan-China development. Our country welcomes Chinese entrepreneurs' greater participation in developing industrial parks, introducing new technologies, and engaging in large-scale joint production operations, including within Tajikistan's free economic zones," Rahmon said.
He drove home Tajikistan's dedication to working hand in hand on projects that are geared towards reaching our big-picture objectives, particularly ramping up industrialization.
"Priority areas in this regard include the construction of production facilities, especially in the industrial sector, and the introduction of high-value "green products" and "green technologies," such as smart grids, electric vehicles, and solar panels," Rahmon added.
Remarkably, after Xi Jinping's visit to Tajikistan, 29 important documents were inked between the two countries, governing relations in diverse domains.
