DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 17. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon addressed the Second Summit of Heads of State of Central Asia and Germany, the statement of press service of the president said, Trend reports.
According to him, the back-and-forth between Central Asia and Germany paves the way for spotting golden opportunities for multilateral cooperation and reaping tangible results.
“We are ready to continue close cooperation with our partners to achieve the goal of establishing a strategic partnership between Central Asia and Germany,” he said.
Emomali Rahmon noted that balanced trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the countries should become one of the main priorities. Cooperation to ensure security and stability in the region and the world was also deemed important.
The head of state drew the attention of his colleagues to the issues of developing cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, education, and training of personnel for various sectors of the economy.
The President of Uzbekistan expressed hope that the outcome of the Second Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Germany would contribute to further strengthening of cooperative relations for the benefit of all peoples.
Following the summit, a joint declaration of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Germany was adopted.
