Turkmen Ambassador: Relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have solid foundation

Friendly relations and multi-sided cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan have got a strong foundation of many centuries' national traditions of two nations, deep historical and cultural roots, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Toyli Komekov said in Baku during his speech.
"On the top of today's epoch of development of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan relations stand leaders of two states, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguli Berdymuhamedov and President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev," Komekov said, speaking at the celebration of Day of Turkmenistan at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy.
The ambassador said that one of the directions of development of bilateral relations is close cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, particularly fruitful dialogue between Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy and the Turkmen Embassy in Azerbaijan.
"Such a major event on the eve of the 21st anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan is held with a representative of Turkmenistan, the experienced diplomat, Ambassador of Turkmenistan in different countries with 40 years experience in the diplomatic service Sapar Berdyniyazov, Chief of Studies of the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan G. Gurbangeldiev, many guests and students, as well as artists, especially coming from Turkmenistan to perform national Turkmen music," he said.
Komekov expressed his gratitude to the ADA for its invaluable contribution to the development and strengthening of relations between the two fraternal countries.
"Today we can say with confidence that we move in the right direction - the direction of development and strengthening of the Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations," the ambassador said.
