Turkmenistan to host important meeting on CIS borders

The Turkmen city of Ashgabat will host the 75^th meeting of the CIS Border Troops Commanders' Council April 21, 2016, according to the website of the CIS Executive Committee Feb. 22.

Ashgabat, referring to the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, recognized and supported by the UN, adopted a decision in 2005 to participate in the CIS structure as an associated member.

In 2012, Turkmenistan chaired the CIS and held nearly thirty events in this regard.
