During a meeting of the Turkmen cabinet of ministers, the country's president, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, gave a number of instructions on further implementing the adopted programs of development, modernization and diversification of the national fuel and energy industry.
These steps are meant for strengthening the industrial and export potential of the fuel and energy sector, increase the volumes and expand the range of gas and chemical products in the country, said the president, according to a message from the Turkmen government.
Turkmen deputy prime minister and director of the State Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources, Yagshygeldy Kakaev also delivered a speech at the meeting.
His report covered the progress in large investment projects and the planned measures on modernization and re-equipment of the industry enterprises, as well as further development of the country's gas transportation system.
