Following the results of the Turkmen-Uzbek high-level talks held in Tashkent on April 23, bilateral documents were signed, the State Agency "Turkmen Dovlet habarlary" reported.

At the intergovernmental level, the program of cooperation in the field of transport for 2018-2020 and the program of scientific and technical cooperation for 2019-2020 have been adopted.

The governments of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have also concluded a Memorandum on the transit of ammonium nitrate and an agreement on interregional cooperation.

A Protocol on amendments and additions to the agreement on crossing the Turkmen-Uzbek border by workers serving economic facilities located in the border regions dated November 19, 2004 was signed. At the level of ministries and agencies, a cooperation program for 2019; an agreement on the establishment of trade Houses of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan; Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of sports; agreement on cooperation on quarantine of plants; agreement on the establishment of the Business Council were adopted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Protocol on approval of the action plan on cooperation during 2018 in the field of standardization was signed. The Memorandum of understanding on cooperation was concluded between the Institute for strategic and sustainable development of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the Institute for strategic and interregional studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev adopted a joint statement.

Today, in the framework of the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan an agreement on the technical justification for the setting of radio frequencies was also signed between the Ministry of communication of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of development of information technologies and communications of Uzbekistan, and a Memorandum of cooperation was signed between the State Committee of Turkmenistan on television, radio and cinematography and the National broadcasting company of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the signing of memorandums and agreements on cooperation between the universities of the two countries was timed to coincide with the visit of the Turkmen leader.
