New gas chemical facilities planned to be built in western Turkmenistan

The new gas chemical facilities are planned to be built in Turkmenistan’s Balkan province, Trend reports referring to Turkmenistan’s Turkmenhimiya state chemical concern.

In particular, the issue is the production of 10,000 tons of liquid chlorine, 82,000 tons of caustic soda, 10,000 tons of hydrochloric acid and other import-substituting export-oriented products.

Garabogaz carbamide plant with a design capacity of 1,155,000 tons of carbamide and 660,000 tons of ammonia per year plays a special role in the development of the country's export potential.

Turkmenhimiya state chemical concern includes 11 industrial enterprises forming the basis of the country's chemical industry. Among the priority tasks for the development of the industry is the introduction of highly efficient, energy and resource-saving technologies.

Presently, special attention is paid to the expansion of the production of mineral fertilizers, which is connected with the availability of a raw material base and an increase in the efficiency of agricultural production.
