Since the commissioning of gas processing units on the territory of Nayip and Bagaja fields (Lebap region, Turkmenistan), more than 1.5 million tons of liquefied gas have been delivered to the oil refinery in Seydi city, Trend reports referring to the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan Oct. 11.
High-quality light oil products that are in demand in the world market are produced from this strategic raw material.
It is reported that the bulk of the liquefied gas produced during the processing is exported.
Automated technological units process natural gas, which is produced at Nayip, Gazlydepe, Kerven, Bagaja, Izmail and other fields, around the clock.
A set of measures is being implemented in Turkmenistan for the technical modernization of the first gas processing unit at Nayip field, built by Italy’s company Technofrigo in 1998. The bulk of the design work to update and improve production processes has already been completed, the report said.
Annually, Turkmen liquefied gas is purchased by Afghanistan, Georgia, Iran, Tajikistan and Pakistan.
