BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. Turkmenistan’s GDP growth rate from the beginning of 2022 has remained stable at 6.2 percent, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov said at the government meeting, Trend reports via Business Turkmenistan news agency.
At the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mukhammetguly Mukhammedov informed the head of state that Turkmenistan's foreign trade turnover in January through March 2022 increased by 40.9 percent, and retail commodity circulation - by 10.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
During the meeting, Berdimuhamedov ordered to prepare proposals for the implementation of sectoral programs in accordance with the Program of socio-economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052.
The results of the government's work in the economic sphere for the first quarter of 2022 were also summed up, the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers were assessed, priority tasks of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan were identified, and a number of other issues were considered.
